The staff at OnTrack have supported our IT systems for several years and we have developed good personal and working relationships with them. Our efforts are clearly focused on our own business opportunities and customers, and while we obviously have a sound understanding of the basics of IT, it is very useful to be able to call on the services of a professional IT company when needed. When extending our IT operations into a new area, such as broadband, it helps to get advice from a company who already have significant experience in that area and know, not only know what questions to ask, but also what pitfalls to avoid. Having OnTrack around at such times provides us with additional confidence in extending our use of IT technology into new areas. On a more general front we have experienced relatively few IT problems and these have been addressed and resolved promptly. Following OnTrack advice we have successfully replaced, or are in the process of replacing, a population of existing hardware with leading brand alternatives and can testify to the improvement in stability and performance that has resulted. We have experienced a reduction in unscheduled problems since OnTrack Systems took over as our “virtual IT department” and have benefited by being able to hand responsibility for dealing with suppliers to OnTrack for them to handle on our behalf. Since moving our IT Support contract to OnTrack Systems, from another company with whose support we were not entirely satisfied, we have noted a definite improvement in the availability and reliability of our computer system. We were very fond of our unix system as we had been using it for years and found it very useful. The problem was that it was becoming limited; we could not enhance it and it was no longer supported. When we first contracted OnTrack to do the job we said that we would be happy if the system would come close to our current system.
