OnTrack Systems Limited is an independent Glasgow-based company
capable of supplying a wide range of businesses with the full range
of computing needs including hardware, software (package or bespoke),
training and ongoing support.
OnTrack Systems Limited is wholly owned and managed by Robin Brown,
who, since graduating from Glasgow University in 1971, has built
up over 30 years’ experience of assisting clients of all sizes
and in many diverse industries to exploit Information Technology
both efficiently and economically.
Working mainly with smaller and medium sized customers over the
last 12 years, he saw the need for such customers, typically without
dedicated in-house IT resources, to be able to obtain their entire
IT requirements from a single source.
With the growing complexity of requirements and the increasing
reliance on Information Technology, he recognised that a ‘one-man-band’
could not continue to provide the breadth of experience or depth
of knowledge required to achieve this. Whilst informal co-operation
between various self-employed specialists could potentially cover
the required knowledge base, this approach could lead to contractual
issues and undue reliance on the client in tying together all the
individual elements into a cohesive and supportable entity.
Whilst we believe we can meet the key requirements outlined using
our own in-house team, we can quickly and seamlessly supplement
our team with further specialist assistance if and when required.
We also have a number of trusted associates upon whom we can call
to provide specialist support on a one-off or part-time recurring
basis where the availability of such skills cannot be justified
on a full time permanent basis. In all cases, the customer will
receive the same high quality “seamless” service and
OnTrack Systems will retain total control of and responsibility
for the quality of any service whether undertaken directly or using
one of our associates.
Our customer set is broadly based and consists of a mix of private
and public sector clients. The major common factor is that, apart
from a few larger clients, they have not felt the need to employ
in-house IT expertise and, by and large, entrust all of their IT
requirements to OnTrack Systems.
